Sponsor shout out: None
Hometown: Storrington, WS
Current residence: UK…soon to be Bulgaria
Board set up: Liquid Force Jet 132, Atlas closed toe bindings
Where is your riding crew based out of? JBSki at Thorpe
What is your favourite thing about wakeboarding? Landing something new has got to be the greatest, but doubling up on the cable with my riding buddy Alex Gardiner too…there’s nothing like hitting up the rails together and having a good old giggle!
Whats something unique about wakeboarding in your country? To ride whatever the weather! When I first starting wakeboarding you forget our winters get pretty cold-and some people break up the ice to go ride!
Where is your absolute favourite place to ride? So far it’s got to be the UK, despite the weather its a great country to go on road trips and hit up the other cable parks as they are all pretty close to each other in the grand scheme of things, all have sick kickers and rails to keep you amused, and i like to get a good feel of the variations, I think it helps massively!
Places you have traveled to for wakeboarding: Texas, Orlando, Miami and Sri Lanka.
Favourite Rider: I love watching many people ride as they are always developing so quickly, but to name a few….
Kieran Taheny, CK Koester, Nick Davies, Tom Foshee, Rob Moyle & Tia Martinez on the skate she’s sick.
Favourite Animal: Gibbons are cool
Favourite Trick: Big heelside off axis 360 feels great, and so do Raleys off the kicker.
Favourite Music: All sorts! Pretty much anything that has a beat!
What are some of your best results?
Wakefest Taplow lake boat comp 2006- 3rd
Cable Nationals 2007- 4th
King of Cable 2007- 4th
Fat Face Big Air 2008- 1st
What are some of your thoughts on female wakeboarding at the pro level? Amazing, especially Nicola Butler, Max Sapulette, Amber Wing & Steph Tor, hold alot of respect for their consistent determination and ballsy nature, and they keep trying stuff all the time. They ride hard and you know they’re loving it!
What do we need to do to help the progression of women’s wakeboarding? Get them more involved in exhibition’s, Pool gaps & winch sessions that challenge the ability and relies on quick thinking manoeuvres. Steph Caller, one of our UK riders is killing it on them at the moment.
Props to anyone? All the voluntary workers & lovers of the sport who are out there to support the riders, all the smooth operators passing the handles, and all the people that I’ve ridden with and have given me tips along the way! Xx too many people i love!
