Where is your riding crew based out of? The Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels, TX
What is your favourite thing about wakeboarding? The rush I get everytime I learn a new trick…
Whats something unique about wakeboarding in your country? The scene varies so much from state to state so I’m not sure I can comment about the country as a whole. However, I will say that here in Texas a lot of wakeboarders can get pretty creative about where they ride. Many here love to winch and are always looking for unique and different places to wakeboard. I live in what is called the “hill country” part of Texas. There are tons of cool unexplored little spots.
Where is your absolute favourite place to ride? The Texas Ski Ranch. I have yet to experience a large variety of cable parks; nevertheless, I’m convinced that TSR is the BEST cable park in the world. I’m so fortunate to live only 30 minutes away.
Places you have traveled to for wakeboarding: In the States- KCW in Kansas, outside of the States- CWC in the Philippines.
Favourite Animal: My Cats- Mr. Oatmeal, Ms. Oreo, and Mr. Coco
Favourite Trick: My favorite tricks to watch – anything big and stylish. My favorite tricks that I do – Switch air raleys and tootsie rolls are so much fun.
What are some of your best results?
TSR Cablestock 2007- 2nd place
KC Classic 2007- 1st place
TSR Fall Fest 2008- 1st place
What are your goals for 2009 riding season?
I want to learn some new tricks and develop my style. I’d also like to help promote the women’s wakeboarding scene here at TSR.
What are some of your thoughts on female wakeboarding at the pro level? It’s getting better and better which is just so inspiring. The professional women cable riders in Australia and Europe are killing it! The women’s cable scene here in the States is a bit different, with a real emphasis on rail riding and obstacle tricks. We have some girls who really excel in this area.
What are your future plans with wakeboarding? I plan to ride for as long as my body will allow it. Besides the fact that wakeboarding is just plain fun, it’s also great motivation to keep myself in good shape.
Craziest thing you have ever done? I have done a lot of crazy things for the chance to ride at a different cable. I’d say the top two are: camping by myself for 4 days in the Hillsdale State Park near KCW, and traveling across the world to the Philippines by myself to wakeboard at CWC.
Props to anyone? I have to give major props to my boyfriend Josh Rice. He’s been riding for over ten years and is one of the all time best cable riders in the world. He understands my passion for wakeboarding and provides me with an enormous amount of encouragement and support. Whenever I am trying to learn a new trick, or improve an old one, he’s always more than willing to give me advice or film me for instructional purposes. I also want to give props to Erika… and Ally, who started this site…well done.
