Name: Courtney Boothroyd

Birthday: March 14 1987

Seasons Competing: Never competed before… Just girls clinics and riding lessons with The Wake Institute!

Hometown: Peterborough, ON

Where is your riding crew based out of? Jay’s house (Kawartha Lakes, Pigeon Lake specifically)

Board set up: Ally’s board…aka Amber Wings Board and limited edition closed toe bindings… signed by Amber Wing booyaaaa!

What is your favourite thing about wakeboarding? Trying to land new tricks, and eventually succeeding…maybe next year lol

Where is your absolute favourite place to ride? Behind the SE-Xstar

Favourite Animal: I was gonna say Shark..but then I realized that an Eagle is slightly better…

Favourite Rider: Erika Langman!

Favourite Trick: The Hang Ten into the mud…

Favourite Music: I’m in between artists.

What are some of your best results? At the girls clinics I learned to do a toe-side 180 and clear the wake heel-side…. My few times riding behind a wakeboard boat I saw some really quick progression.

What are your goals for 2008 riding season? Ride a lot more and learn more tricks… and wakesurfing a lot because that was my favourite!

What are some of your thoughts on female wakeboarding at the pro level? I watched some of the pros over the summer at Wakestock and watching them go was awesome!  One of the best parts of getting lessons with them is seeing them ride from the boat, not to mention they are good instructors!

How do you feel about the Canadian female wakeboard scene?? The Canadian female wakeboarders that I have met were extremely fun to be around, outgoing, and a day in the boat with all girls is something that I always look forward to… The female instructors are so encouraging and they really pump you up and cheer you on!

What are your future plans with wakeboarding? I want to do as many girls clinics as  I can next summer, cause it’s super fun and Deaky loves the boat ride and all the attention he gets…

What is the steeziest trick you have ever seen? Dylan Rivat landing a peterose with a snapped in half wakeboard at Wakestock over the summer!

Craziest thing you have ever done? Jumped off a cliff on a small bungee jump that swung out into the rainforest in Costa Rica!!!
